Civil Service Commission Offered 10,000 Government Jobs In 2020 Job Fair
10,000 GOVERNMENT JOBS OFFERED – Due to the coronavirus pandemic, millions of Filipinos have lost their sources of income. But, as the economy begins to reopen, jobs are gradually returning.
According to an article from ABS-CBN, almost 60% of Filipino job candidates were affected by the health crisis. Meanwhile, 17% permanently lost their jobs while 43% declared themselves temporarily jobless. Commonly, the retrenched workers were predominantly contractual workers who worked in companies with less than 500 employees.
Among the industries hit hardest by the pandemic were: tourism and travel; food and beverage; hospitality and catering; architecture, building, and construction; and the education sectors.
Luckily, to address the unemployment issue , the Civil Service Commission (CSC) are conducting a virtual job fair on September 14-18. Here, more than 10,000 government positions are being offered across 700 participating agencies.
As per the article, 28 percent of the jobs came from Calabarzon and Mimaropa, 18 percent were from Central Visayas, and 15 percent were from Western Visayas. Along with this, some of the jobs offered in the online job fair are Deputy Register of Deeds, Admin Officer, Attorney, Accountant, Procurement Officer, and others.
