Petroleum Products Price Change To Be Set On September 1, 2020
PETROLEUM PRODUCTS – The prices of petroleum products are expected to have a price change starting September 1, 2020.
According to a report from GMA News, the pump prices of gasoline will be hiked for this week while prices of diesel and kerosene will be rolled back, which is reported to be their second straight week.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said in separate advisories that they will hike prices to P0.10 per liter for gasoline. Prices of diesel and kerosene, on the other hand, will roll back to P0.10 per liter.
At the same time, Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz said that they will implement the same charges except for kerosene which they do not carry.
The price changes will take effect at 6 AM on Tuesday (September 1, 2020) for nearly all firms, with the exception for Cleanfuel, which will implement the adjustments at 8:01 AM on the same day. As for other firms, they have yet to make the same announcements for the week.
Based on the report, the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) as of August 25 shows that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net decrease of P4.02 per liter for gasoline, P8.89 for diesel, and P13.29 for kerosene.
