Rev Gov Supporters Seek Leni As Alternative Option To Lead
REV GOV SUPPORTERS – After being snubbed by President Rodrigo Duterte, supporters of the revolutionary government had another candidate to lead their cause.
In an unprecedented turn of events, The Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC) turned to Vice President Leni Robredo to lead the revolutionary government. Among the reasons why the group pushed for the Rev Gov. is to hasten the process of Charter Change.
The group previously proposed to have Duterte impose and lead a revolutionary government. However, when asked about the issue, Duterte said he didn’t even know those involved. Meanwhile, the group didn’t seem to give up on their cause yet.
According to an article from Philstar, the MRRD-NECC had a successional system under their constitution. When asked if they were referring to the Vice President, Francisco Arlene Buan, spokesman for the group said: “if our group will so decide, maybe yes”.
Still, the group asserted that they would try their best to convince the President to sway his decision. As per the article, the group said that they do not believe in Robredo’s capabilities. Among their plans is to have a signature campaign which they would then present to the president.
Meanwhile, following the accusations from the PNP, the group said the grouped gave a stern warning to Gen. Archie Gamboa for “spreading lies”. They said that they could file charges against him to make his life miserable.
I think the Office of the Ombudsman should investigate this PNP chief for meddling in political affairs and for intimidation and harassing individuals who are just pursuing and exercising their free expression of advocacy
