Lea Salonga on Reunion Movie w/ Aga: ‘That’s all our fault’, Here’s why

Lea Salonga said this about much-anticipated reunion movie with Aga Muhlach

Broadway star Lea Salonga said, “that’s all our fault” when asked about her possible reunion movie with award-winning actor Aga Muhlach.

Lea and Aga starred together in the hit romance movie Sana Maulit Muli back in 1995. Several years later, the much-awaited reunion movie is still not happening but their fans kept on anticipating that it will happen.

Although their onscreen tandem still has its fandom, Lea shared in recent interview with G3 San Diego that she and Aga never crossed the line of being lovers.

“When we were in San Francisco, he was nursing a broken heart. I find out all these things later. The heartbreak part was like everything was at the top of his emotional cache. It would be there, it would be so easy for him to access kasi heartbroken eh,” she shared based on the article from ABS-CBN.

When they resumed the shooting in the Philippines, Lea said that Aga was already dating Dayanara Torres at that time. While they were shooting in Manila and in Baguio, the actor has already moved on and that he was not so heartbroken anymore, according to Lea.

She added that the timing played a major factor why she and Aga never became a couple. When asked about the much-anticipated reunion with the actor, she said that it is their fault why it is not yet happening.

“It needs to be something that eclipses ‘Sana Maulit Muli’ and that’s a very high bar that we set. That’s all our fault. We raised the expectations so damn high that where do you go from here?” Lea Salonga said.

However, the Broadway star is happy that their supporters are still rooting for their reunion movie and they are still being loved as onscreen partners.

“We both have our own families but there are people who ship us as a showbiz pair. I’d like to think that our fans are able to separate the reality from the not reality,” the singer-actress said.

  1. for its not them personally that i dwell, its about the 2 character in the movie, it would be nice kung ung dalawang character pa rin ang bida. I think yun din naman ang gusto ng ibang fans.

Pero kung ibang character at kwento not sure kung ganon pa rin ka hit, unless talaga maganda ung story, kase ung talent naman nila pinapanood at hindi na sila personally
