Willie Revillame Finally Gives Php 5 Million Cash Aid For Jeepney Drivers

GMA host Willie Revillame gives out Php 5 million worth of financial assistance for jeepney drivers.

WILLIE REVILLAME – GMA artist and “Wowowin” main host Willie Revillame has finally given financial assistance for jeepney drivers.

In a previous article, Kapuso host and comedian Willie Revillame has vowed to personally give cash aid for the displaced jeepney drivers in the country due to pandemic. Along with cash aid for them are 2,000 Wowowin jackets as well.

This is after the host has donated Php 100,000.00 each to the families of OFWs who were casualties in the fatal explosion in Beirut, Lebanon which happened last August 4, 2020. He promised, “Sa ating mga dakilang tsuper, drivers—next week, makukuha niyo na ho yung paghahati-hatian niyo na ibinigay ko. Makukuha na nila, e, di lahat masaya.”

And it did happen. Personally doing the tast to release the cash aid for them, transport leaders and jeepney drivers who don’t belong to any transport group were gathered at central office of Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for the distribution.
He released Php 5 million worth of financial assistance where Php 1,449,500.00 was given to Pasang Masda and Php 1,132,500.00 to ALTODAP.

One group also received Php 342,000.00 and Php 298,500.00 for those who drive Tandang Sora-Visayas Avenue route. Aside from the money, 2,000 sacks of rice were also given. The assistance from Revillame helped 3,211 jeepney drivers.

According to report from PEP he vowed to give another Php 5 million to another set of drivers and said, “Sa bawat success ko, sa bawat baytang ng buhay ko, hindi ko makakalimutan yung masa, yung mahihirap. Inangat ninyo ako. Kung anong meron ako, galing din po sa inyo iyan.”
