Bahrain Woman Destroys Hindu Religious Statues & Now Facing Charges
BAHRAIN WOMAN – A 54-year-old woman is now facing charges after reportedly destroying Hindu religious statues.
A Twitter user named Muzaffarid has shared the video footage of a raging woman destroying Hindu religious symbols in public together with her female colleague. The video immediately spread like a wildfire online and garnered various reactions from the netizens.
In the video, the woman smashed the statues of the Hindu deity Lord Ganesha at the Juffair area in the capital Manama, according to the police. The lady is now facing charges of intentional damage and publicly insulting a religious symbol.
One woman can be also heard saying “This is a Muslim country, correct? Let us see who will worship these statues. Call the cops.” The lady expressed her fury to those images claiming that people considered them as ‘gods’ but could not even save themselves.
Bahrain’s king advisor and former foreign minister Khalid al-Khalifa claimed that the woman’s actions are unacceptable. Khalifa even described the actions of the Bahrain lady as a crime of hatred.
Khalifa also explained that all types of religions, sects, and people in that country coexist. He also explained that thousands of Asian workers from different countries with various religious are residing in that small Muslim country.
