BULACAN COPS – The Philippine National Police ordered the relief of 11 police personnel in San Jose Del Monte over a “fabricated” drug bust there.
This came from a statement from PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, according to a report from Inquirer.
“PNP Chief, Police General Archie Gamboa ordered the administrative relief and restrictive custody of 11 police personnel of San Jose Del Monte City Police Station named respondents in a case for kidnapping with murder filed before the DOJ (Department of Justice),”
This followed after the National Bureau of Investigation filed complaints against the following:
- former City Drug Enforcement chief Police Major Leo Commendador dela Rosa
- Police Staff Sergeant Benjie Enconado
- Staff Sergeant Jayson Legaspi
- Staff Sergeant Irwin Yuson
- Staff Sergeant Edmund Catubay Jr.
- Police Corporal Jay Leoncio
- Corporal Herbert Hernandez
- Corporal Raymond Bayan
- Corporal Raul Malgapo
- Patrolman Erwin Sabido
- Patrolman Rusco Madla
There were charged for kidnapping with murder. The victims of the said 11 cops were brought to Dela Rosa’s office. They were reported to have been hogtied and blindfolded without being booked for any offense.
Based on the report, the NBI added that the cops brought the victims to a secluded area where they were shot dead. The said suspects made it appear that the victims fought back during a “drug bust”. The incident occurred on February.
