BuCor Eyes to Donate Plasma from Personnel and Prisoners Recovered from the Virus
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) plans to donate the plasma from the infected personnel and prisoners who got recovered from the COVID-19.
The bureau said Friday that they will launch a plasma drive, which is to donate the plasma from the recovered patients of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). BuCor spokesperson Col. Gabriel Chaglag said, they have a project they are saving because many recoveries.
“Meron tayong project na iniipon natin kasi marami tayong recoveries. Siguro by next week, iniimbitahan namin kayo sa ating drive para sa donation ng plasma manggagaling dito sa ating mga recoveries na personnel,” BuCor spokesperson said.

They also hope that persons deprived of liberty or prisoners who have been recovered from the disease will donate plasma too, based on the report of ABS-CBN News. “Titingnan din natin ang ating mga PDLs na walang mga tattoo ay baka naman sila puwedeng mag donate din ng plasma,” he said.
Chaglag also assured the public that their COVID-19 intervention is ongoing. He said the lessons they have learned from the past months will help them better manage the COVID-19 situation inside the prison.
“Ngayon nama-manage natin nang maige ‘di tulad ng nakaraang buwan na nangangakapa. Ibig sabihin ang health persons bihasa na sila,” he said.
