NBI Reveals Video Evidence Showing Dominguez Is Alive And Well
DOMINGUEZ IS ALIVE – Recently, several reports circulated that claimed high-profile inmate Raymond Dominguez died of COVID-19.
Since then, the Bureau of Correction adamantly denied that claims and said he was alive and well. Moreover, the National Bureau of Investigation itself said it would investigate the allegations.
The report of Dominguez’s death came after BuCor’s announcement that another high-profile drug lord, Jaybee Sebastian died of coronavirus. Ashes of the inmate were posted on social media, but, netizens were reluctant to believe the ashes was Sebastian’s.
Following the investigation, the NBI said they found Dominguez to be alive and well despite the claims that he had died from the coronavirus. Additionally, according to an article from RMN, the NBI also showed footage which proved that the inmate was still alive.
According to BuCor Spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag, he and other BuCor staff escorted the NBI inspectors as they investigated the facility. As per the article, the NBI thoroughly investigated the conditions of the inmates in BuCor’s isolation facility.
Aside from Dominguez, there were four other high-profile inmates currently placed under isolation. Chaclag said that the inmates would get swab test to confirm if they could be released from isolation.
Dominguez was convicted of carnapping and faced murder charges for the death of car dealer Venson Evangelista. In the last data presented by BuCor, there were 266 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and 97 personnel who were infected with the new coronavirus.
Currently, the Philippines has reported over 83,000 cases of COVID-19. Of that number, nearly 2,000 have succumbed to the deadly disease. Meanwhile, over 26,600 have recovered from the virus.
