Robi Domingo Laud Parents – Who are Both Senior Citizen doctors – For Serving Amid Pandemic

ROBI DOMINGO – TV host Robi Domingo praised his parents who are senior citizen doctors for their selflessness amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Health officials said no one is being spared from the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The deadly virus from Wuhan, China can infect children, adults, and older people. Although all age groups are at risk of contracting the disease, older people face a significant risk of developing severe illness.

Governments and health authorities advised all people to adapt to the new normal and must take the necessary steps to protect themselves and others. COVID-19 infections in the Philippines surged past 100 thousand last week.

Based on a report from TopNews Philippines, Kapamilya host Robi Domingo talked about his parents who are both senior citizen doctors serving amid the COVID-19 pandemic during Star Magic’s special collab with Metro.Style called ‘Love from Home Lockdown Portraits.’

According to the report, Robi Domingo said although he fears that his mom and dad might contract the virus, he said he couldn’t be any prouder of them. He remained resilient because he knows they are doing it for the country.

“I have to be honest. This pandemic became personal to me and my family more just because my family are both doctors. So every single time they go out of the house to treat patients, to fulfill their promise as doctors — it gives me that sense of fear. If they go home — and knock on wood — my brother and I get the virus, I mean I could survive. But you know, having them as seniors and having them as frontliners that makes me so proud. But intertwined with that feeling is the sensibility and that fear,” Robi said.

Based on the report, Robi Domingo has a number of friends who are doctors. He said he feels proud of them for choosing to serve, go to the front lines, and help those in need of medical help.

“It may be hard, I would do conference call with them, I would call them, they would just cry. But at the end of the day, they have to wipe their tears and they have to fulfill their duties as doctors. And for that one, I’m just really, really proud to call them my friends,” he said.
