Muntinlupa Scholars To Be Removed From Scholarship If Found Violating Curfew

MUNTINLUPA SCHOLARS – Scholars in Muntinlupa will be removed from the scholarship program if they will violate curfew amid MECQ there.

A report from ABS-CBN News, Metro Manila was recently placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the second strictest lockdown. This would mean there will be a strict implementation of curfew, according to the local government of the aforementioned city.

Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, as well as Sangguniang Panglungsod, recently signed an ordinance, which said that there will be a fine ranging from P300 to P500 to those who will be caught violating curfew depending on the number of offenses.

If the violator is a scholar from the city hall, he or she will have his or her scholarship removed once caught.

There will be a curfew starting from 8 PM until 5 AM in the city, based on the report.

Aside from Muntinlupa, Pasay City also implemented curfew starting from 8 PM until 5 AM. The same goes with the province of Cavite.

The authorities reported that they caught 263 violators from yesterday until this early morning in different areas under MECQ, among them include those who violated curfew.

Other areas that announced the return of curfew include Mandaluyong, San Juan, Maynila, Navotas, Paranaque, Quezon City, Taguig, Valenzuela, at Rizal province. This will last until the 18th of August.
