BPI Faces Network Outage, Mobile Transactions Unavailable

BPI – The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) recently experienced a network outage, according to its advisory.

According to Inquirer’s Bandera, in an advisory made by the Bank of the Philippine Islands, it said that certain functionalities in their digital platforms are affected.

Due to this, mobile transactions such as interbank funds transfer, bills payment and funds transfer to 3rd party and other accounts are unavailable, as of the moment

Furthermore, the bank said that there might be a possible intermittent service at the bank’s ATM and CAM, as well as other services in their ATMs and POS machines.

Based on the report, the BPI said that it has coordinated with its technical teams of a telecommunications provider in order to resolve the problem.

Last month, a video of its employees in the Maramag branch in Bukidnon dancing to BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” went viral.

Their video was posted by  ‘The Saranghe Oppa’ Facebook page on Thursday, July 23. It gained a lot of reactions and comments.
