Karen Davila on TV5?
Kapamilya journalist Karen Davila will appear in a new magazine show on TV5 and this sparked intrigue that she will be transferring network.
Karen is known as one of the prominent personalities in the news and current affairs department of ABS-CBN. She has her own show on ANC, the news channel of the Kapamilya network.
Amid the franchise renewal issue of her home network, Karen was one of the loud voiced fighting for the TV giant. As Congress denied the network’s 25-year franchise application, shows are being catered on online platforms.
Just recently, network transfer intrigue is being associated with the name of Karen Davila, based on the article by Jun Lalin in Abante Entertainment. It is because she will be the guest of fellow prominent news anchor Luchi Cruz-Valdes on her new magazine show titled Usapang Real Life.

Reportedly, Karen already had her taping at Luchi’s home for the pilot episode of the said show. In order to make the first episode unique, it was said that Karen will take over. Instead of Luchi interviewing her, it will be the other way around, Karen will interview the host of the show.
“This is exclusive! Two award-winning broadcast journalist in one frame; Karen Davila interviews Luchi Cruz-Valdes,” show’s producer Marge Natividad said.
They will be talking about their personal experiences and broadcast journalists and their lives behind the camera. It is also expected the Luchi will share her experience when she was hospitalized for three months.
Based on the article, Luchi was really the one who asked Karen to guest in the pilot episode of her new magazine show because they are close friends.
However, on the issue of alleged network transfer, Lalin’s source said that there is no talk yet regarding about that. ABS-CBN’s news chief Ging Reyes has just allowed Karen Davila to guest on TV5 because she also personally knows Luchi Cruz-Valdez.
