Company In Laguna Faces Suspension Over COVID-19 Cases

COMPANY – Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez is suspending the operations of a company over coronavirus cases.

Six months have passed since the first confirmed 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) case was announced in the Philippines. The government collaborated organization in different areas in response to the virus, through the Interagency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration implemented various actions including lockdowns in Metro Manila and other parts of the country. Surveillance and contact tracing are an important component to detect and isolate cases.

Those who had close contact with COVID-19 patients will be advised for quarantine. Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, a company in Laguna now faces suspension over coronavirus cases. Governor Ramil Hernandez is suspending the operation of the company on Thursday to check its health protocols after some of its employees were infected with the virus.

According to the report, Governor Ramil Hernandez said if the company will not cooperate with the authorities, the process will take longer because they will be forced to lock down the area. He refused to name the company ahead of the release of his suspension order.

Hernandez said local authorities will help the firm correct their possible violations. They could reopen in 24 to 48 hours.

“’Pag hindi po naki-cooperate ang company, nag-resist sila, medyo hahaba po ang proseso…”

“Mapipilitan po tayong ipa-lock down ang area nila. Walang makakapasok o makakalabas na empleyado, pati po mga delivery so mas malaki pong abala,” he added.
