POPULAR BUSINESSES – These popular businesses in the Philippines have all decided to close down officially due to economic effects of the pandemic.
The pandemic has truly affected a lot of field, sectors, and business. It seems like everything had come into a halt during the height of it in the country. And due to some health protocols and other safety measure so as to contain the spread of the virus, some businesses in the country stopped operating resulting to thousand of people added to number of those who are unemployed.

- Shangri-La Finest Chinese Cuisine
Since 1983, they have served many people with their delicious dishes founded by businessman Ramon Synhunliong but after 37 years, they announced signing off. - Regina Gift Shop
They announced their closing down last June 7. They started operating in 1977 selling som unique finds such as velcro cloth wallets to Lisa Frank merchandise. - Kidzania
At the end of August this popular venue for kids is finally closing doors permanently because their main customers, the kids, are not allowed to go out due to pandemic. - Polilya
Located at Poblacion in Makati, the popular bar and party hub is closing and stopping their services after three years of being in service. - The Oasis Paco Park Hotel
After 10 years, Manila’s The Oasis Paco Park Hotel and its restaurant My Kitchen at the Oasis are closing down. - Today x Future
They are bound to be on their 12th year but the pandemic hit the country and they chose to close down - Zirkoh and Klownz
These two comedy bars are owned by Allan K but due to “tremendous economic loss” because of the pandemic, they are shutting down. The employees will still be able to have their salary, their 13th month pay, and an additional cash assistance accordingly. - Select Victoria Court branches
Victoria Court CEO Angie Mead King announced close down of select branches last June 2. - Moksha
“All good things must come to an end” said the famous bar in their statement as they announced shut down on June 30, 2020. This place is famous for their drink called the ‘Flying Tiger’ as per GMA article.
