JUST IN: PSG Staff Assigned As Security To Executive Sec. Medialdea COVID-19 Positive

PSG STAFF – Some personnel of the Presidential Security Group were tested positive of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The said cases were assigned as a security detail to Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea, says PSG Commander Col. Jesus Durante III, according to a tweet from ABS-CBN.

The PSG commander added that Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea, on the other hand, was tested negative.

For the said personnel who are currently confirmed cases, all of them were asymptomatic and were already placed under quarantine.

At that time, Duque claimed that we are in the second wave as a response to Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., who asked if what needs to be done in order to prevent the second wave.

Medialdea reacted to it and said that this was not a pronouncement from the President, adding that the Philippines was not facing a second wave at that time.

“Alam mo hindi pronouncement yan ng Presidente yan or ano. Kailan ba lumabas yang second wave? That we will have to see. Because as far as I know, wala pa tayo sa second wave,”
