Oliver Aquino Break-up with Non-showbiz GF Due to Controversial Film
OLIVER AQUINO – Actor claimed that his relationship with his non-showbiz girlfriend ended up because of a controversial film.
The former Anime member and actor Oliver Aquino revealed that a controversial film he did affect their relationship with his non-showbiz girlfriend. The controversial film he made was the Jino to Mari, directed by Jay Atarejos.
The film was the 2019 entry to Sinag Maynila Film Festival. On the Jino to Mari film, the young actor plays the role of a worker who gives pleasure.
According to him, this is the most daring film he has ever made and he will never do it again. Oliver’s partner in the film is Angela Cortez who plays the character of Marie.
He said on the interview with PUSH, “Sobra talaga yon. Hirap na hirap ako don. Last na yon. Ayoko nang gumawa ulit ng ganun. Sobrang okey na yon.”
“At least nagawa ko na yung ganung klase. Kasi para hindi rin kami mahirapan sa acting do’n tinreat din kami ni Direk Jay as s*x workers talaga. Wala kaming dressing room, wala kaming make-up, pakalat-kalat lang kami sa set,” he added.

Oliver received different feedbacks after doing an *rgy scene in the Jino to Mari film. Most of his fans and people who know him wonder why he agreed to do the scene.
“Actually, hindi ako tumitingin sa mga comments. Naging ugali ko na yon bata pa lang ako. Comments nila yon, eh, and I respect it, nirerespeto ko yung comment ng ibang tao kasi right nila yon, eh,” he said.
“Maraming nagulat siyempre, sa mga kaibigan ko. ‘Oh, ano ba yan, bakit ginawa mo yon?’ Pero siyempre, kailangan mo ring mag-mature as an actor. Hindi ka naman puwedeng magpa-pogi na lang for the rest of your life,” he added.
He also revealed that the controversial film was the reason why he and his girlfriend broke-up. He said he wanted them to be fixed and to get along but it didn’t really work.
“Nag-break kami nung August last year pa. Kasi siyempre nagalit siya dahil nga do’n. May mga eksena akong alam mo na. Eh, ako naman ginagawa ko lang naman yung part ko,” he said.
“Pinaliwanag ko yung side ko. Sinabi ko na gusto ko siya siyempre, ayaw ko siyang mawala, pero kung saan siya masaya, di ba? Ganun naman talaga, eh. Hindi mo puwedeng ikulong yung isang tao sa ‘yo kung ayaw na niya,” he explained.
