DINGDONG DANTES – The Kapuso actor is offering job opportunities as riders to showbiz workers who lost their job.
Undeniably, a lot of people lost their job amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Many businesses did not manage to survive with no income for several months now while continuously paying for rent thus they stopped the operation.
Both the employers and the employees are losing in the situation. It is still uncertain as to when the pandemic will end and businesses affected can thrive again.
The good thing is that some personalities come up with opportunities for other people. One of them is Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes who wanted to help showbiz workers who lost their job.
Based on a report on Pep, Dingdong Dantes put up a project. the Dingdong PH, which is not only a delivery app but offers a job opportunity for displaced showbiz workers who wanted to work as riders.
According to Dingdong, the idea came when his wife, Marian, had to deliver flowers from her Flora Vida flower shop to a client. The flowers came to a wrong door and was damaged.
Dingdong said it was “last minute” and he had to help. It was where the idea started and he talked with some friends then eventually came up with Doorbell Technologies. Based on the report, the Kapuso actor admitted that he is not techy but the recent happenings became a game-changer for him.
Drawing inspirations as well from the pursuit to help his showbiz workmates who lost their job, Dingdong PH app was born. It targets hiring displaced workers in the industry as riders.
The Kapuso actor has not yet revealed the launching date of his delivery app. Meanwhile, it may possibly happen real soon.
