ABS-CBN shows on IBC 13?
TV giant ABS-CBN, allegedly, is negotiating with IBC 13 or the Intercontinental Broadcasting Company for its blocktime shows.
After the decision of the House of Representatives to deny that franchise application of the Kapamilya network, several speculations surfaced as what would be the next step of the management and the employees.
Rumors said that some talents of the media company are already seeking employment in other networks, as well as those who are in the news and current affairs department.
It is known to many now that several shows in the Kapamilya network already bid goodbye permanently. On the other hand, there are still show being shown on ABS-CBN’s YouTube channel.
With the denied franchise application, the TV network has released a statement that it needs to let go of several employees. Based on the article from Pang-Masa, those who will be terminated will receive an e-mail from the HR department.

It was said that the e-mail will include the computation of their separation pay. Aside from this, the network will also give half of a month’s salary of the employees multiplied to the years they spent working in the company.
According to the article by entertainment columnist Ed de Leon, there is an inside story stating that allegedly, ABS-CBN is doing a negotiation now with IBC 13 for its blocktime shows.
In this situation, the Kapamilya network will buy a certain timeslot on the free TV channel for its show to be aired. Additionally, the columnist said that the TV giant admits that their sponsors will not comeback if it will just depend on its shows on YouTube and cable stations.
One factor that affects this is that there are still many households that have no internet connection and there is no strong connection in some areas, the columnist added.
