Mayor Of Tagapul-an, Samar Wounded In Shooting Incident
MAYOR OF TAGAPUL-AN – The mayor of Tagapul-an municipality in Samar province was recently injured in a shooting incident.
The incident occurred in Barangay Sugod on Thursday morning, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
Police Regional Office 8’s initial probe stated that the mayor Vicente Limpiado Jr. was shot at the entrance of his farm by an unknown assailant.
This resulted in Limpiado sustaining a gunshot wound in the back. He was eventually rushed to a hospital.
Based on the report, authorities are currently conducting a further probe into the incident.
In a separate incident, an officer from the Bureau of Corrections was found dead inside the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

BuCor spokesman Colonel Gabriel Chaclag said that the BuCor officer was on duty when he died. A roving supervisor discovered the fatality who was found to be unresponsive.
Furthermore, there was a gunshot wound to the head.
“Opo..naka duty siya last night at noong nag check ang roving supervisor ay napansin niya unresponsive yung bata (Corrections officer).”
