US Reports Another 60,000 Coronavirus Cases Based On Johns Hopkins Tally

US REPORTS ANOTHER 60,000 CASES – The United States has recorded 59,747 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours.

This figure is based on a tally conducted by Johns Hopkins University. In the past few weeks, the number of cases in the US skyrocketed with a whopping 66,528 reported cases on Saturday alone.

Currently, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country has reached more than 3,413,995. Of this number, the number of fatalities have reached 137,782. Meanwhile, the number of recoveries had reached 1,517,084.

According to medical experts, the spike in cases are due to some states already opening their economies despite the rise in cases. Along with this, some states have allow residents to leave their homes without face masks.

There were also cases of people hosting “COVID Parties” where people join a party and see who gets the virus first for a cash prize.

Because of the continued rise in COVID-19 infections, some state governors to close their economies to prevent the spread of the disease. Additionally, according to an article from GMA, some states have now embraced wearing masks.

Furthermore, President Donald Trump’s administration also emphasized that full school reopenings would continue in the fall even with the surge of coronavirus infections.
