Passengers Not Allowed To Talk While Inside LRT-1 Train
LRT 1 – The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said the passengers are not allowed to talk while inside the LRT-1 train to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The Philippines now has 51,754 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases with 12,813 recoveries and 1,314 deaths. The pandemic has affected a lot of things including transportation in the country.
Metro Manila trains are also affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The management decided to reduce the capacity of its passengers to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. Therefore, passengers must allot more time before they can get a ride.
Recently, Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) conducted a swab testing on all its employees. In a previous article, 92 of its workers tested positive for coronavirus.

On Thursday, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) Tweeted that passengers are not allowed to talk while inside the train for now. They said it was of the safety of their passengers and it will help lessen the risk of contracting COVID-19.
The rail service company said respiratory droplets are one of the causes of the spread of the virus. They advised their passengers not to talk to other passengers while inside the train. LRMC recommends wearing a face mask and the use of sanitizer or alcohol.
