Filipina singer and actress Carol Banawa is known for the songs “Tanging Yaman,” “Iingatan Ka,” and “Bakit ‘Di Totohanin.” She left the entertainment industry in 2006.

Banawa is currently living in the United States with her husband Ryan Crisostomo and their two kids. She graduated with a nursing degree in the US and became a registered nurse in 2018.

Carol Banawa is one of the Filipino nurses who have been called to be a COVID-19 frontliner in the US during the pandemic. Last April, she shared a photo of herself wearing a surgical mask and a face shield.

The 39-year-old singer has not forgotten her singing roots. In her recent Instagram post, she remembered one of her memorable moments in her singing career in the Philippines.

Carol Banawa uploaded a photo of herself performing on stage during a local music awards event, as well as the photos with her fellow singers Nina Girado, Sarah Geronimo, and Kyla Alvarez.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: “MTV Pilipinas Music Awards in 2003. Was nominated for Favorite Female Artist of the Year together with @kylaalvarez @soulsiren_nina and @justsarahgph Thank you for sharing this @anakarylle.”
