TOM HANKS ON COVID-19 – Actor and coronavirus survivor, Tom Hanks, said he had no respect for people refusing to wear masks.
Previously, Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson tested positive for the new coronavirus, COVID-19 while they were in Australia. Luckily, the two had fully recovered from the the virus.
However, in the United States, the number of coronavirus cases continues to grow. Most experts believed that this was due to some states that made wearing of masks a “recommendation” rather than something mandatory.

As such, according to an article from BBC, Hanks said:
I don’t get it, I simply do not get it, it is literally the least you can do.
If you can’t wear a mask and wash your hands and social distance, I’ve got no respect for you, man
Moreover, he explained his response with a scenario of how people get a driver’s license. According to an article from the BBC, he stated:
If anybody wants to build up an argument about doing the least they can do, I wouldn’t trust them with a driver’s license.
I mean, when you drive a car, you’ve got to obey speed limits, you’ve got to use your turn signals indicators, you’ve got to avoid hitting pedestrians. If you can’t do those three things, you shouldn’t be driving a car.
As such, as the world faces the coronavirus pandemic, health experts imposed rules so we could flatten the spread of the disease. There are certain rules that we should do and recommendations that need to be mandatory.
