Small Plane Encounters Engine Failure in Zamboanga City
SMALL PLANE – A small chartered airplane made a crash landing in the waters in Zamboanga City following an engine failure.
Undeniably, pilots are carrying a huge responsibility every time they fly an airplane or a helicopter. That is why they have to undergo not only schooling but as well as several practical training and exams before they can officially obtain a license to fly an aircraft.
During the flight, a lot of things may take place thus pilots have to be both calm and knowledgeable enough to handle the situation. The responsibility to make the most they can for a safe flight as lives may be at risk is on their shoulders.
Truths be told that several unfortunate aircraft crash incidents have happened in the past. Most of these incidents are due to engine failure and many cases got no survivors.
Recently, in Zamboanga City, a small plane encountered an engine failure. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it prompted the two (2) pilots to make a crash landing in the waters off a village.
According to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Area Manager Antonio Alfonso, just after around thirty minutes since the airplane made a take-off at Zamboanga Airport, it lost contact. To avoid landing in a residential area, the pilots were able to bring it into the waters.
Based on the report, aside from the two (2) pilots, the small plane was carrying two (2) passengers. All of them are safe. The said plane that made a crash landing in Zamboanga City waters was supposedly off to Dumaguete City.
According to the CAAP Area Manager, a similar airplane was purchased by a private school in Zamboanga City. It was delivered by the pilots to be used for the aviation program offered by the school.
