SOS Children’s Village Programs Are Organized” & “Well-Managed,” Says Bea Alonzo
BEA ALONZO – Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo visited the SOS Children’s Village in Alabang to turn over the donations raised by her ‘I Am Hope’ foundation.
The 32-year-old actress has been busy with her humanitarian efforts for those affected by the pandemic via her foundation which she co-founded with her friend Rina Navarro. Their project was initially a food drive for poor communities amid the COVID-19 crisis. It later evolved into a donation platform.
Last May, Bea Alonzo announced that she and her team were able to raise P6 million in 30 days. Their fundraiser helped vulnerable communities and healthcare workers.
On June 20, the prominent actress and her charity organization handed over disinfectants and relief goods to the frontliners in Pasig City. She uploaded photos of her with Mayor Vico Sotto and the supplies. She poked fun about meeting the handsome mayor.
On Monday, July 6, Bea Alonzo shared on her Instagram account that she went to SOS Children’s Village in Alabang to turn over the donations raised by her organization. She posted photos and a video during her visit.
The Kapamilya actress shared how elated she is after learning the story behind the organization. She found out that SOS has helped lots of children for more than 7 decades now. She said SOS’s programs are “organized” and “well-managed.”
“Today, I went to visit the SOS Children’s Village with the I AM HOPE team to turn over donations. We also learned the story behind this organization. They’ve helped so many kids around the world for 70 years already,” she said.
