BOYING REMULLA – House Deputy Speaker Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla expresses apology after he was caught doing this amid singing “Lupang Hinirang”.

Caught on video, eagle-eyed netizens have spotted House Deputy Speaker Jesus Crispin Remulla doing this amid singing of the country’s national anthem “Lupang Hinirang”. He went viral on Wednesday as he was seen taking down notes while the song is being played.

The national anthem was played before one of the hearings on media giant ABS-CBN’s bid for a 25-year franchise. He was spotted writing while the others remained standing giving their respect to the flag and while their hands remained firmly on their left chest. This is accordingly a clear violation of the law and a disrespect to our national anthem.

And as he went viral, the politician wrote a letter expressing his apology over the said incident. In his apology, he stressed that it was the “ABS-CBN people” who played it all up on social media but he already forgave them.

He said, “I’d like to apologize for an earlier incident na ako po’y may ’sinusulat na note no’ng nag-flag ceremony tayo. As usual, the ABS-CBN people are the ones playing it up now on social media. But I will forgive them.”

An idea accordingly came into his mind, thus, the writing down incident only that it happened at such a wrong time. He then apologized to the people as per report from Rappler. He released his apology letter on Wednesday night.
