Here’s what Ate Gay said about his Meralco Bill
Comedian Ate Gay has this complaint against his Meralco Bill amid the issue that the electric company has increased the electricity rate.
Last month, a netizen posted that a friend’s electricity bill reached to P1.7 million in just a month. This caught the attention of the online community and the Manila Electric Company received criticisms due to this.
However, Meralco investigated this issue and it was found out that the said bill reflected the electricity consumption of a property owned by SM Development Corporation and not a residential area as what many presumed.
With this, the electric company said that it is considering filing a case against the netizen who posted the photo of the bill online.
Meanwhile, celebrity couple Chesca and Doug Kramer recently revealed that their Meralco bill has reached P79,000. This prompted them to find a solution to lessen their electricity expenses and they started using solar panels.
On the other hand, Ate Gay complained against his electricity bill but for a different reason. The comedian shared a photo of his bill on Instagram with this caption: “Grabe naman kayo Meralco bakit ang baba ng Bill koooooh! Maiba lang haha.“
