Vehicular Accident In Zamboanga City Left With Priest Dead
VEHICULAR ACCIDENT IN ZAMBOANGA CITY – A vehicular accident involving a pick-up and a truck has left with a priest dead on Wednesday night.
According to ABS-CBN, the victim, identified as Fr. Fred Alavado was aboard his pick-up truck when it collided with the rear portion of a 10-wheeler truck on a highway in Barangay Culianan, Zamboanga City.
The pick-up, with its front portion wrecked, fell on the road side and crashed on a cement wall after it collided with the truck.
Staff Sgt. Arnel Arcillas of the local police reported that the priest was taken to the hospital but died while he underwent treatment.
Based on the the report, Alavado was a parish priest at Barangay Manicahan in the city.
The 10-wheeler truck was about to head to Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte when the pick-up truck crashed its rear.
Further probe is ongoing regarding the accident.
