DDS of Dilawan? Vice Ganda has this answer
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda responded to the perceptions that he belongs to DDS (Die-hard Duterte Supporters) or a supporter of Dilawan (opposition).
It is inevitable for the public to tag celebrities as critics or supporters of the current administration. Some celebrities have been vocal which side they are supporting while some chose to be silent when it comes to political issues.
However, there were those who believed that Vice is a supporter of President Duterte. On the other hand, there were those who think that he siding the opposition.
In line with this, Vice Ganda has this response during a recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show. Based on the article form Bandera, Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant Shane dela Vega, who also joined the Idol Philippines, shared that she received bashing after she joined the talent search.
She only got a yes from Vice who was one of the judges. Shane said that the comedian-host became her inspiration amid the bashing that she received. With this, Vice said that he can relate with the experience of the contestant as he knows what it feels when people have doubts.
“Ang hirap ‘yung maraming tao na pilit kang hinihila pababa, bina-bash ka, ‘yung may mga taong nagbibigay ng pangalan sa ‘yo na parang kilalang-kilala ka nila,” the noontime show host said.
Then, Vice Ganda said that he is being tagged as DDS or Dilawan. “Ganyang-ganyan din ako. Ang daming taong nagde-define sa akin, kung sino ako. Nakakatawa nga. ‘Yung mga sa social media, ‘yung mga ‘dilawan,’ tinatawag nila akong ‘DDS’. Iyong mga ‘DDS,’ tinatawag nila akong ‘dilawan,’” he shared.
In line with these assumptions against him, the comedian-host said that it is himself that should define him and not other people. He added that he is just ignoring these remarks against him because he can do nothing about it.
“Pero kung meron mang taong nakakakilala sa akin, ako ‘yun,” the Kapamilya star said.
