Flying Of Kites Restricted In Metro Manila, Government Says
FLYING OF KITES RESTRICTED – The local government of Metro Manila recently said on Wednesday that flying of kites is restricted in the city.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, the Manila Barangay Bureau said that the kites might dangle around electric wires and might cause fire and worsen it.
Furthermore, motorcycles, vehicles, and passersby tend to trip or pick up the strings of these kites. There are also instances where kids attach a blade or any sharp material for them to have a kite battle.
Based on the report, not only are these things dangerous, these kites also contribute to being a waste once they are dangling on posts or trees.
