PAGASA – Intertropical Convergence Zone To Affect Palawan, Visayas And Mindanao This June 16, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this June 16, 2020.

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao on this day.

According to GMA News, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao

The bureau also warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur due to scattered moderate to occasionally heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the easterlies or warm winds from the east, as well as localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

As always, the bureau also warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, northern Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the south east to northeast direction with slight to moderate.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds that are moving eastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun has risen at 5:27 AM and is expected to set at 6:27 PM.
