JUST IN: First COVID-19 Case In General Luna, Quezon Province

FIRST COVID-19 CASE IN GENERAL LUNA – The municipality of General Luna, Quezon province recently recorded its first positive case of COVID-19.

This was confirmed by town mayor Matt Erwin Florido on Tuesday, June 16, according to Inquirer.

The first case in the said town is identified as a female, 36 years of age with a business at the market of the neighboring town of Catanauan. The woman was an APOR or an authorized person outside of residence.

Florido added that the first case, who resides in Barangay San Jose in the said town, is confined to a medical facility in Catanauan and is currently in stable condition.

Furthermore, Barangay San Jose, as well as Purok Sabang, will be under a 24-hour long lockdown which began on 2 PM for an aggressive contact tracing.

Florido urged his townsfolk not to panic and avoid spreaking false information, based on the report.
