IATF ID Holder Nabbed with P6.8 Million Shabu in Buy-bust Operation in Pangasinan
An IATF ID holder was arrested with P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation conducted in Pangasinan.
About P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs called ‘shabu’ were recovered from the man who was allegedly a member of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) responses, based on the confiscated identification card.
Based on the report of Manila Bulletin, the suspect attempted to transport the illegal drugs in a delivery van used to deliver agricultural products in Barangay Naguilayan, Binmaley, Pangasinan.
After the information reached the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1, operatives of the agency immediately conducted a buy-bust operation on Sunday with the help of the Pangasinan Provincial Police and Binmaley Police. Investigative Agent Rechie Camacho led the operation.
The suspects were identified as Roscious Dadacay, a 44-year-old businessman, a resident of San Pedro, San Carlos City; and Jim Resuello, 33, a resident of Rizal, Poblacion, San Carlos City. The vehicle he used was intended for food delivery and the based on the ID he is a trader of agricultural products.
Authorities seized four plastic bags containing the illegal drugs, which weight to more or less one kilo with Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P6.8 million. Based on the report, this the biggest drug haul of PDEA and the PNP amid the general community quarantine (GCQ) in Pangasinan.
