Woman Dies Waiting For Bus After 5 Days, Cause Of Death “Probably COVID-19”
WOMAN DIES WAITING FOR BUS – A sad scene transpired in a footbridge in Pasay City as a woman waiting for a bus for 5 days fell unconscious.
According to the authorities, the woman was identified as “Michelle Silvertino” from Barangay Burabod in Calabanga. Reports from Pasay City Police, the woman was last seen on June 5.
A concerned citizen reported that Silvertino had difficulty breathing and a fever. Moreover, the concerned citizen reported the case to Barangay 159 but the local authorities declined to respond.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Silvertino was unconscious when the police came. They quickly brought her to the hospital but she didn’t make it. By the time the police got the hospital, she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Afterward, a swab test for COVID-19 was taken and health authorities declared the cause of death as a “probable COVID-19”. But, according to Nathanael Alviso, a friend of Silvertino, the woman had a history of lung illness.
Silvertino was a single mother of four kids. Her friend said Silvertino was finishing up documents so she could work abroad in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, she had water in her lungs so she was tagged unfit to work.
Because of this, she needed to work as a maid in Antipolo Rizal. However, when trying to go home, there were no busses back to her province for almost 5 days. Also, there were no messages from Silvertino to her family since May 31.
