The design has been submitted to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 6 design has been submitted along with a proposal on motorcycle and tricycle use while the Province is under modified GCQ.

Gov. Defensor, however, said it depends on the LTO if they allow the design that is intended to allow motorcycle owners to ride in tandem, based on the report of Super Radyo Iloilo. As of now, the National-IATF continues to refuse to lift the motorcycle ‘bawal angkas’ law on purpose as the coronavirus is not yet fully contained.

Meanwhile, the proposal design of the Governor elicits comments from the motorcycle groups and owners. Netizens said that the idea is not suitable for the motorcycle when riding as it may cause accident because of the strong wind slapped on the plastic barrier.

Despite the good purpose of the design amid pandemic, motorcycle enthusiasts pointed out some possible danger caused by the protective shield to driver and the back rider.
