Here are the tablets that Heart Evangelista will donate to students
Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista is happy to announce that the 550 tablets that she will be donating to deserving students are ready.
Aside from her showbiz engagements, Heart is also known as a philanthropist. She is an animal rights advocate and she had various relief efforts during the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the Department of Education does not allow the face-to-face classes due to the heath threat that the pandemic might bring to the students, online classes will be held.
However, with this, students and parents belonging to the poor cluster is worrying where to get the means in order to have an internet connection and gadget that will be used for online classes. Just recently, Gapan City Mayor Emeng Pascual said that the local government will be providing a reliable but cheap internet connection in every household.
With regard to this matter, Heart Evangelist is also doing her part. She will be donating tablets to those who can’t afford to buy a gadget. The Kapuso star recently shared in her Twitter post that the tablets are ready to be distributed.
In her post, she also shared that the money she used to buy the 550 tablets was from her painting. “The time, hardwork and love that I put out in this artwork was well worth it as the proceeds have allowed me to purchase 550 tablets for angels,” she said.
For Heart, painting is her way to express her struggles that most of the people do not know. She also said that through her art and fashion, she is able to cope with her “not so fairytale life”.
Just recently, the actress/fashion icon revealed that a basher that has been posting mean comments against her has bothered her for several days. Behind the bashing, her supporters expressed what she has been doing in order to help others.
