Ang Probinsyano Main Cast Susan Roces Will Not Return for Work Yet Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

ANG PROBINSYANO – Veteran Kapamilya actress Susan Roces will not return for the taping yet amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everything. In the Philippines, the whole country is under a community quarantine now to prevent the spread of the disease.

The areas that are on high risk for coronavirus are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) starting today. Most parts of the country are under a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

Classes were suspended; church gatherings and other social gatherings are prohibited; and public transportation were previously cancelled amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Even the busiest celebrities stayed at home because of the pandemic.

Now that the quarantine measures have eased down, businesses are now allowed to operate and the people may report to work. Everyone is advised to practice social distancing still and to wear face mask when outdoors.

Based on a report on PhilStar, the cast members of the ABS-CBN primetime TV series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano plan to resume taping soon. However, veteran actress Susan Roces will not report to work yet.

Roces plays the character of Lola Flora, the grandmother of Cardo Dalisay, the character played by Coco Martin. The said TV series aired for more than three (3) years already before it temporarily stopped airing due to the COVID-19 crisis.

According to the report, Roces will not go back for the taping until the new normal policy is adapted in all aspects of work. The wife of the late action star Fernando Poe Jr. is now 78 years old.
