How Many Blocks Are Needed To Complete This Cube?
HOW MANY BLOCKS ARE NEEDED – Another puzzles has been making rounds in social media these days, this time it’s a block puzzle.
You are given an image of with missing blocks. Your job is to determine how many of those blocks do you need to complete a full cube. Here is the puzzle.
As you could see, the question refers to a cube, the quick answer to the question is – 45 blocks! But why?
Simply put, we first need to understand what a cube is. It’s not simply an object shaped like a square, but an object or figure which all have equal sides! That’s our first and most important clue!
People would often just count the missing blocks which would add up to 20, however, even with all the blocks filled up, that figure still wouldn’t be a cube.
Therefore, even with everything filled up, there’s still one more layer of blocks we need to fill since the blocks are still 5 blocks by 4 blocks (which doesn’t make a cube). We need to add another 25 blocks on the top to satisfy the definition of a cube.
Thus 45 blocks is the answer!
