P28M Cash Aid Received Hand Back by Quezon City Residents
QUEZON CITY- Around 3,500 residents have returned the P28M cash aid given by the government whose livelihoods were affected by COVID-19.
Local government said Monday, some residents of Barangay N.S. Amoranto have return the government assistance given to them along with some individuals who also received the assistance from the Social Security System (SSS). According to them, they return the cash aid because they already have received assistance from other government sectors.
Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, the Quezon City government will relocate the returned aid for those who did not receive the first tranche of the social amelioration program (SAP) with the aim of giving the poorest families P5,000 to P8,000 in 2 months.
Meanwhile, the social welfare department, in turn, reminds financial aid recipients to ask for a receipt or any evidence that they have returned the subsidy. The government also warned those individuals who still receiving double and more than assistance from the government.
Government call out those individuals to return the cash aid if they already received assistance from other sectors. Your honestly can save poor families who were not given the chance to receive the assistance from the government.
