Betong Sumaya has this messaged for Paolo Contis
Actor-host Betong Sumaya thanked “Mayor” Paolo Contis and “First Lady” LJ Reyes for the “ayuda” that he received from them.
Amid the enhanced community quarantine due to COVID-19 pandemic, local government officials have been extending help to their constituents. The “ayuda” from mayors or barangay captains are often consists of rice, canned goods, and noodles.
In some instances, it is in the form of financial aid such as the social amelioration program. Several celebrities also extended help to the less fortunate residents near their areas through giving relief goods and food for the frontliners.
Paolo Contis is one of them who goes out of his way to help others especially his fellow Kapuso star Betong Sumaya. The latter shared in his recent Instagram Story that “Mayor” Paolo and “First Lady” LJ brought him food.
“’Mayor Paolo Contis’ at First Lady LJ Reyes’ maraming salamat ulit sa ‘ayuda.’ God bless you always,” the actor-host said. Based on the article from GMA Network, the couple regularly gives “ayuda” to Betong during the lockdown.
He also said that at these times, he was able to know who really are his friends. “Ako, I’m so thankful na hindi man lang ako humingi ng tulong sa mga kaibigan ko, mga kapwa ko artista, nagbigay sila ng tulong sa akin. Pinadalhan nila ako ng pagkain kahit hindi ako humihingi. So I’m so thankful sa mga masasabi kong mga angel ko,” he shared.
Aside from Paolo and LJ, Betong also received help from Boy 2 Quizon, Divine, Kakai Bautista, Aubrey Carampel, Susan Enriquez, and Boobay, based on the article. With this, he is really thankful to them. Their help is really a big thing for Betong because he is living alone in his house in Metro Manila and he does not know how to cook.
