Authorities Seized P102,000 Worth of Shabu from Alleged Police in Davao City
DAVAO CITY – Authorities have recovered P102,000 worth of illegal drugs (shabu) from alleged police, Monday evening, May 18.
Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, the suspect was identified as SSgt Mark Palma, former intelligence chief of the Sasa police station. Palma was also assigned at the foot patrol unit of Davao City and considered a “high-value target.”
Palma was removed from his former position due to anomalies in a drug operation, said Davao City police chief Col. Kirby John Kraft. Authorities also received information that Palma had a safe house in Sasa
The arrest of Palma takes place in the safe place of Palma. According to Antonio Rivera, chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Davao Region, Palma even forced children at young ages to deliver and sell shabu
“pati mga bata doon ay inuutusan na nitong mag deliver at magbenta ng shabu,” said PDEA-Davao Region chief.
PDEA, police and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested Palma along with his suspected asset and runner Rodnie Tamayo. They seized 7 packages of suspected shabu.
Early this month, there are lots of drug-related arrest of certain individuals including person in authority, government aid beneficiaries and high profile drug personality amid the stricter implementation of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) throughout the country.
