ABS-CBN To Create Educational Shows As PH Continues To Face Pandemic

ABS-CBN EDUCATIONAL SHOWS – Amid the coronavirus crisis, ABS-CBN is set to create new educational shows.

Due to COVID-19, the education sector is beginning to shift towards a distance-learning approach. Moreover, on the opening of classes, DepEd urged schools to integrate distance learning with physical learning programs.

Additionally, ABS-CBN said they made a team to specifically focus on education and child development. According to an article from ABS-CBN, he stated:

Absolutely, we are willing to help the government in creating an educational program under the new normal

Furthermore, education officials and lawmakers had earlier agreed to a compromise for the “new normal” in education. As such, they agreed to create a “blended” educational system which allows students to learn from remotely.

Previously, ABS-CBN had produced top-rated educational shows such as Sineskwela, “Bayani”, Hiraya Manawari”, “ATBP”, “Epol Apple” and “Mathinik”.

Recently, telecommunications companies have also created a platform for such learning opportunities. Moreover, they provided access to the online platform without having the need for data plans.

Currently, the Philippines has reported over 11,000 cases of COVID-19. In addition, these the country averages at around 200 new cases per day. With this in mind, several groups called for the delay of class openings to avoid increased numbers of cases.

As such, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that the law may be amended to delay the opening of classes. Meanwhile, Senate President Sotto filled a bill to delay classes till September or even later.
