Kim Chiu’s viral statement used by Harry Roque
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque cited the viral ‘bawal lumabas’ statement of Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu.
To recall, Kim went viral more than a week ago for her statement during the Laban Kapamilya Facebook Live as their protest against the cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission.
That statement of the actress became the reason for the massive amount of bashing that she received from the online community. However, her fellow stars from ABS-CBN defended her but that did not prevent netizens to create various memes out her statement. Some even created songs and dance choreography.
Several prominent personalities also used the lines of Kim Chiu in their social media posts, just like Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio who criticized the NCRPO chief for his alleged violation of quarantine protocol.
Apparently, the viral statement of the Kapamilya actress also reached the Palace as Harry Roque cited this during the press briefing on Monday. The Presidential Spokesperson made a comment about a huge number of people went to malls after the enhanced community quarantine was lifted.
It is because people were disregarding the physical distancing in public placed already. Roque said that this kind of scenario tells that it’s as if COVID-19 did not happen.

He reminded the public that whether it is ECQ, GCQ, MECQ, it is still under community quarantine. With this premise, he cited the viral statement of Kim Chiu.
“Sabi nga ng isang nag-viral na post at alam ko naman kilala nyo kung sino sya, “Bawal lumabas! Pero kapag nag-comply ka at inayos ninyo mag-obserba ng proper hygiene tulad ng paghuhugas ng kamay, pagsusuot ng face mask or face shield, at pagsunod sa social distancing at iba pang health protocols, mapapa-flatten natin ang curve at ‘yung bawal lumabas ay magiging pwede nang lumaba,” Roque said.
