Are the viral Kim Chiu memes form of cyberbullying?
KIM CHIU MEMES – Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu’s “Law of classroom” being used for meme getting viral in various social media platforms.
Aside from memes, the viral “Law of Classroom” of Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu is also now being used for music videos, Tiktok videos, parodies, and among others. Many people have defended her and stood up with her amid the controversy.
And her friend Hannah T. Bernardino, an ICU hospitalist at St. Luke’s Medical Center expressed, “To all the haters, trolls or people just having a laugh at the expense of KIM CHIU, being cyberbullies without even recognizing it. Just because it’s so easy to post and share just about anything on social media, doesn’t mean you should, especially without really thinking about how mean and cruel your words are.”
As much as we are all aware of, cyberbullying, according to Hinduja & Patchin, 2015, is a “willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.”
Now, is Kim being the subject of jokes and criticisms online just because after speaking up for her network a form of cyberbullying already?
Her friend, based on report from PEP added that she is one of the “warmest, kindest, sweetest” persons that she have known. Moreover, the actress might not have a masters or doctorate degree and might have said things in a wrong way but it is undeniable that she has more influence than some of us and that she can also be emotional and passionate over things she cared most.
