500 Beneficiaries Return Cash Aid from SAP to Give it to People in Need
GENERAL SANTOS- Almost five hundred (500) beneficiaries return the cash aid they received from the Social Amelioration Program of the government.
In a report, about 500 individuals in General Santos City returned cash aid from the government’s social amelioration program (SAP), given to residents whose livelihoods are affected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.
This is based on a note from the city’s City Social Welfare Office, which is said to have lots of people came to return their cash aid. One of them is Gilda Imbong, resident of the area.
Imbong said she has a OFW son and receiving a pension so she is better off giving back to those who need the money. Romeo Buscas was also one of the people who came, saying he received help from the family’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
However, they said they were grateful for the faithful and returned relief in the midst of the crisis. According to the CSWD, it is yet to be determined whether the money will be returned to the right beneficiary as SAP’s distribution to the city has ended.
Earlier this month, lots of qualified beneficiaries returned the cash aid they have received as some of them are already a member of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), while some has a family member that already received the aid from another barangay.
