PAGASA – Tropical Depression Ambo May Intensify

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA said that Tropical Depression Ambo may intensify into a tropical storm on Thursday.

The state weather bureau said that it is expected to make landfall in the Bicol region on Thursday.

According to a report from Inquirer, the weather disturbance was last seen at about 385 kilometers east of the municipality of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur as of 3 AM Monday.

Ambo is packed with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour with gusts of up to 55 kilometers per hour, it is moving northwest at about 10 kilometers per hour.

As mentioned above, it might intensify into a tropical storm and head to Bicol region, where it said to make landfall on Thursday.

Its extension or trough is said to have brought cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, as previously reported.

While the capital and the rest of the country is facing hot and humid weather, as well as partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

As per the report, the following areas will face the following minimum temperatures:

  • Metro Manila: 26 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 17 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City: 25 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 26 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 26 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay City: 23 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 27 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 27 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu City: 27 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 26 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 27 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City: 26 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City: 26 degrees Celsius
