Kind Police Carry Elderly PWD Woman to Claim SAP Aid Earn Praise Online

PAGADIAN CITY – Kind police earn praise online as he carry a person with disability (PWD) elderly woman to claim COVID-19 aid at the City hall.

In a Facebook post of Pulis Pagadian page, they shared a policeman carrying a disabled elderly woman on her way to claiming financial assistance from the government Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

According to the post, Jumar Soliven, the police officer from Pagadian City Police Station was assigned as security personnel on the distribution of SAP financial aid by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Soliven spotted the old disabled woman on her way to the city hall and offered to carry her down the stairs after the woman already claimed the aid as she had difficulties in the stairs. Soliven give piggy back ride to the PWD woman as they go down the stairs.

The woman was identified as Lilian Arao, 70, resident of Purok Nido, Barangay Gatas, Pagadian City. Meanwhile, the good action of Soliven was captured by a concerned netizen named Loren Mangumpit who was also in the area and uploaded it on Facebook.

Photos have gone viral on the social media after it was posted. Soliven has been receiving a lot of good praise from several netizens and the chief of the Pagadian City police station for going out of his way to help the lady.
