Stephenie Meyer Says Twilight Prequel Midnight Sun To Be Released
STEPHENIE MEYER – American novelist Stephenie Meyer announced the release of long-awaited Twilight prequel ‘Midnight Sun’
Millions of people are hooked to the five-film vampire saga ‘Twilight.’ The movie is starred by Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.
The movie was based on Stephenie Meyer’s books: Twilight (2005), New Moon (2006), Eclipse (2007), and Breaking Dawn (2008). The series followed the romance between a human (and then vampire) Bella Swan and her handsome vampire love interest, Edward Cullen.
Stephenie Meyer’s books sold more than 100 million copies globally. Surely, Twilight fans around the world miss their adolescent obsession.
Based on a report from GMA News, the author thrilled her fans by announcing that she is set to release a prequel. Her new book titled ‘Midnight Sun’ will look back on Edward Cullen’s life and be told from his perspective.
According to the report, ‘Midnight Sun’ will narrate Edward Cullen’s past and the time he first meets Kristen Stewart’s character. The earlier boos were told from Swan’s perspective.
The publisher of the book, Little, Brown, and Company, said the story “takes on a new and decidedly dark twist.”
Based on the report, Stephenie Meyer said she was planning to release the book after the coronavirus pandemic but she changed her mind and thought ‘Midnight Sun’ would be a good distraction from the pandemic.
“It’s a crazy time right now, and I wasn’t sure if this was the right time to put this book out, but some of you have been waiting for just so, so long. It didn’t seem fair to make you wait anymore,” Meyer said.
The book will be released on August 4, 2020.
