Update on DepEd Class Opening for Next School Year
DEPED – The Department of Education announced the date of class opening for the next school year, 2020-2021.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Philippines, class suspensions were previously implemented for the safety of the students. Currently, over 9,000 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the country.
The entire Luzon and most provinces in Visayas and Mindanao were placed under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to curb the spread of the infection. Several measures were implemented to prevent the crowd and everyone is advised to exhibit social distancing.
Now, some places are already under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and starting to adjust with the “new normal”. High-risk areas remain to be under the ECQ until May 15.
